Emergy Secures Strategic Grid Connection for Brăila Wind Projects

Emergy has reached an important milestone in the development of its renewable energy portfolio by securing the Technical Connection Permits (ATR) from Transelectrica for the Ulmu 3 and Zăvoaia 3 wind farms in Brăila County.

The permits officially approve the integration of 238 MW of new wind capacity into the National Energy System (SEN), including 133 MW for Ulmu 3 and 105 MW for Zăvoaia 3. To facilitate the grid connection, Emergy will co-finance key infrastructure upgrades, including the construction of a new 400/110 kV substation. These investments support an accelerated commissioning timeline, with the projects targeted for operation in 2029. This achievement marks an important step forward in transitioning the projects from development towards execution and reflects Emergy’s continued commitment to professional project delivery and Romania’s ongoing energy transition.
