Syvash Wind Farm is located in the Kherson region, in Ukraine´s south and has become a land-mark project! One of the biggest wind farm projects in Ukraine has been developed and constructed in close cooperation to the local government with sustainability and ESG focus s it`s back bone. This was noted by the European Bank whom gave Emergy (then NBT) the Sustainable Energy Bronze Award in 2019.

In April 2018, NBT* acquired Syvashenergoprom LLC, a Ukrainian company that has been operating an existing 3 MW wind farm under Ukraine’s green tariff since 2011, with an additional 250 MW under development.

Partnering with Total EREN, NBT* successfully secured project debt of EUR 262 million for the 250 MW through a group of lenders led by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The total project investment is EUR 376 million.

Governed according to stringent European technical, environmental and social standards, construction was initiated in spring 2019 and is now producing electricity. 63 Nordex turbines, each with a capacity of 3.9Mw will now see to that 895GWh annual production is clean and renewable, giving 250 000 households the opportunity to be sustainable – and is helping Ukraine reach their goals and commitment on having 25% of the energy renewable prior to 2035.

* NBT changed name to Emergy July 2021
